Information for Car Clubs

Thanks you for your club's interest in America's British Reliability Run (ABRR). We've created this website and loaded it with information about the run. There's new information going up every week. Each month there will be new editorial content posted so you can continue to create interest in the run. There are ads that can be printed in your club's newsletter. We'll formally announce the run in our club's April issue. I ran the one column ad as a teaser with a notation on it that full details will be announced in April. That's already motivated members to ask about the event at our meetings.

What's nice about this event is that even if people don't care to (or aren't able to) participate in the actual driving, they can still sponsor a team. Everyone can get involved! Entry forms can be downloaded on the site, and yes, tax receipts are sent by the charity provided sponsors disclose their addresses. After registering a car, entrants are mailed the link for the Pledge Forms and their car is displayed on the site so that people can donate securely online to a specific team if they wish.

This page contains ads and editorial content that are appropriate for your car club's newsletter. Each month, a different article will be placed on this site so that you may publish, simultaneous with the host club, articles to keep the Run 'fresh' in the minds of your members. The ads may be run now, they contain complete information so your members can register and start collecting pledges!

Let me know if you have questions that aren't addressed on the website and I'll get right back to you.

Half-page flyer for club meetings

Here's a flyer for distribution at your British car club meetings. It's 2-up, meaning that two will print on a single sheet of 8.5x11 paper and you'll need to cut them in half.

The flyer looks terrific in color or black and white.

In it's sixth year, America's British Reliability Run is a challenging, but fun, driving event that so far has raised more than $130,000 for worthy children's charities. This year, three separate 800-mile runs on the same weekend, September 27-28, 2008, will benefit three local, highly-rated, childrens charities. The Michigan run begins and ends in Frankenmuth and will help Michigan-based "Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan." The Pennsylvania run, beginning and ending in TBD, will benefit TBD. The Alabama run, beginning and ending in Birmingham, will benefit Alabama-based "Magic Moments Charity." Each two-person team pays their own expenses out-of-pocket and has a goal of raising $500 for the charity. One-hundred percent of donations received go to the charities. In fact you donation is made directly to the charity.

Up to 50 British cars of any marque or vintage may participate in each run. Even if you can't participate in the run, please support this effort by making a donation of any size. Again, teams pay their own expenses, so 100% of your donation goes to the charity, please help us increase our total! To register your car, donate, or read more about the run, visit http://www.abrr.org.
