We are fortunate this year to partner with three highly-rated and worthwhile charities. Charieties are selected based on their proximity to each local run and their efficient use of monies donated. Information on each follows:
For the 2008 Michigan Run:
Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan - Camp Bold Eagle

DONATE NOW
We're driving to provide "camperships" to children who otherwise might not be financially able to attend The Hemophilia Foundation of Michigan's "Camp Bold Eagle."
This specialized camp for children with hereditary bleeding disorders serves boys and girls ages 6 through 13. Camp Bold Eagle is located on the shores of Big Blue Lake in Holton, Michigan. Campers return year after year to catch up with old friends and meet others with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Camp Bold Eagle offers a variety of camp activities, including archery, arts & crafts, fishing, swimming, boating, nature exploration, and bleeding disorders education.
Campers are encouraged to learn to self infuse their own factor while at camp, learning them a coveted "Butterfly Award." Here's an 11-minute video about the camp.

For the 2008 Alabama Run:
Magic Moments
DONATE NOW
Magic is often described as unexplainable, but the magic created in Alabama each year by Magic Moments is easy to explain. Magic Moments fulfills the non-medical wishes of chronically ill Alabama children, providing them an opportunity to turn away from illness and suffering – if only for a moment – and feel what it is like to just be a kid again!
Magic Moments grants all kinds of wishes for all kinds of kids, specifically those who have life-threatening or life-altering medical conditions that substantially limit one or more major life activities. In addition to fulfilling individual wishes, Magic Moments also provides camping experiences for wish children and their families at Children’s Harbor on Lake Martin.
Each year the run organizer selects a children's charity with which to partner. The partner charities in the past:
2003: Camp Bold Eagle, Hemophilia Society of Michigan
2004: Camp Midicha, American Diabetes Association
2005: National Children's Cancer Society
2006: Camp Ho Mita Koda, Diabetes Ass'n. of Gr. Cleveland
2007: Center for Blind and Visually Impaired Children, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. | Adventures for Wishkids, Columbus, Ohio
